What is Functional Medicine?
Functional Medicine is the evidence-based clinical application of "Systems-Biology" which focuses on the network within the human biological terrain and uses holism (rather than more traditional reductionism) to treat the body.
Simply put, rather than just looking at the leaves and branches of a tree, Functional Medicine also looks at the trunk, root system, soil and environment.

FAQs
The Patient-Centered model seeks to understand how each individual patient arrived at their current state of health, symptoms and diagnosis.
This individualized model requires a detailed understanding of each patient's unique genetic, biochemical, environmental, and lifestyle factors - hearing your story is an important part of the process.
The goal of Patient-Centered care is for patients and practitioners to work together to uncover the underlying causes of illness, and to empower patients to become active participants in their health journey.
